Embarked on the expansion of overseas IPP business

Acquired 9 overseas power assets (total 6,086MW) with International Power plc (UK) from Edison Mission Energy (USA) through IPM Eagle LLP (UK, owned by Mitsui and IPR 30% and 70% respectively)

Established Mitsui & Co. Power & Infrastructure Development Ltd. (MPID) as a specialty company for the purpose of managing overseas IPP businesses Mitsui invested in

Valladolid 525 MW in Mexico started commercial operation (with Chubu Electric)

Acquired Desarrollos Espana (1.5MW, Photovoltaic, Spain) through IPM
